The Sussex Under 15 League final was held at Withdean Stadium, Brighton, where all the 10 Clubs who compete in the East and West Division meet for the grand final. The Blue Star team put up a tremendous performance to finish in an excellent fourth place. Scoring 298 points, they finish behind the Clubs from Crawley (486 points), Brighton & Hove (406), and Chichester (402), but ahead of the teams from East Grinstead (258), Worthing (208), Lewes (135), Eastbourne (88), Haywards Heath (85) and Brighton Phoenix (79).
There were many good performances, with topmost in the boys Pole Vault where Dan Dearden not only cleared a personal best 3.76m, but set a new league record in winning the event. Seb Wallace had a good evening, winning the 80m Hurdles, where he ran 11.5s, which equalled his league record, and then went on to win the Long Jump with a leap of 5.66m and then take second place in the High Jump with a clearance of 1.70m. Hari Brogan cleared 1.65m to win the B string High Jump, having earlier taken second place in the B string Pole Vault clearing 2.60m. Matty Smith, having taken a bronze medal in the England Championships at Bedford in the 3000m the week before, had a good run in the 1500m to finish second in 4m28.9s. Callum Palmer took second place in the B race of the 80m Hurdles where he ran 14.6s and Joe Fickling leapt 4.66m to take second place in the B string Long Jump. Boys 4x100m relay team of Joe Fickling, Ed Crossman, Callum Palmer and Seb Wallace finished third in 54.2s.
In the Girls events, Sophie Hogton ran 13.3s to take second place in the 75m Hurdles B race , with Rennee Bassin finishing fourth in the A race (12.9s). Bassin also took fourth place in the Long Jump, where she jumped 4.46m, with Hogton taking fourth in the B event (4.17m). The 4x300m relay team of Alina Hillicks, Sophie Morris, Hayley Emerson and Eve Vince-Odozi finished fourth in 3m34.8s.
