The Sussex Under 13 League final was held at K2, Crawley where all the 10 Clubs who compete in the East and West Division meet for the grand final. The Blue Star team put up a tremendous performance to finish in an excellent third place. Scoring 289 points, they finished behind the Clubs from Brighton & Hove (393 points) and Crawley (376), but ahead of the teams from Chichester (284), Haywards Heath (202), Eastbourne (141), Brighton Phoenix (136), Lewes (132), Worthing (99) and East Grinstead (91).
In the Girls events there was a good run from Madeleine Way in the 75m, where she was just edged into second place, running 10.92s, whilst team mate Holly Hudson finished 3rd in the B race, running 11.41s. Way then competed in the Long Jump where she leapt 4.13m to take 3rd place in the A event, with Kyla Ball finishing second in the B event with 3.95m. The High Jump saw Ella van der Veen and Kyla Ball team up, with van der Veen clearing 1.30m to take second place in the A event and Ball winning the B string with 1.25m. The 70m Hurdles produced good points, with Lucy Costello finishing second in the A race (13.45s) and Alexia Johnson winning the B race also running 13.45s. The 4 x 100m relay team finished 3rd in 58.32s, whilst the B team of finished second in 60.24s.
In the Boys events Theo Ramage cleared 1.35m to take second place in the High Jump with team mate Tom Easdale finishing 3rd in the B event with 1.20m. Jack Ellis leapt 4.14m to finish 3rd in the Long Jump, with Fraser Williams finishing fourth in the B string with 3.61m. The Shot event saw Theo Ramage throw 7.25m to take fourth place in the A string with Lauchlan Slaughter finishing second in the B event with 5.79m. There were two third places achieved in the Discus with Nicholas Land throwing 15.43m in the A event and In the B event Liam Wood threw 10.64m. This result meant that the Club had another good season in the league with many youngsters showing plenty of promise for the future.
