The Sussex Schools Cross Country Championships took place at Waterhall over a testing course. Several Blue Stars competed for their various Schools, with some excellent results. Alex Richer, running in the Senior Girls race, run over 4.3km, representing Collyers, had another good run to come home in 3rd place in 16m46s, to guarantee selection for the National Schools Championships. In the Senior Boys race, run over 7.1km, Luke Burgess finished 7th (26m03s), Bradley Burke 11th (26m40s) and Josh Barnett 13th (26m49s) to help the Collyers team take second team spot. Charlie Ferris, representing the Weald, ran in the Junior Boys race, run over 4.3km, where he had a great race to take 5th place in 15m54s, with school mate Jesse Mackarel finishing 25th (17m05s). Olivia Sharpe finished 27th in the Junior Girls race, running 13m15s for the 3km course, whilst in the 6km Intermediate Boys race Ash Williams, running for Forest Boys, also had a good run to finish in 6th place running 21m29s.
